Clessidra: Cast On

I cast on 23rd March after the Cricket Match between West Indies and Ireland (we won by 8 wickets). We had a torrent of rain, but in true Irish and West Indian fashion, we partied in the rain. The pic shows the Party Mound (official name), practically no shelter and they were dancing the day away - in the rain. The blue patch on the ground is where the pitch is covered up by tarp.

This whole experience just made me love the Irish more than I already do, and I'm a fanatic. They came all dressed up and everything. I have one picture but it isn't close enough for you to see what I'm talking about. It was GREAT!

Oooh...I should be talking about the sock now...sorry.

It's going great so far, just finished leg decrease #2. For a new cabler it looks good. Trust me, it looks much better than that in person, by cam phone isn't all that wonderfi.

Hey Julie-Ann! Your Clessidra is looking lovely - hope it continues to go well with the pattern. I have never seen anyone play cricket but it's been coming up a lot recently in conversation...so perhaps I'll have to check it out. Anyway - looking forward to seeing your finished socks! ~gabriella

I wish I could knit. I love buying the books even though I can't knit. Strange, eh?
